Categories Fashion Tuxedo 11 March 2016 Getting Ready Time: 29 minutes. A great thing about tuxedos- they are easy and fast. I doubt that there is anything that will make you look as cool as a tuxedo. From James Bond to Marlene Dietrich and Angelina Jolie it is impossible to outdo it. Nothing even comes close. Sure, a slinky silk dress is certainly sexy, but a good tux has a personality of its own. A tux hints at overpowering laughter and at drinks that are about to be spilt. It has that ‘walking home at dawn’ feel to it. Not to mention that it’s a lot more comfortable and warmer than most of more traditional eveningwear made for women. And it would have come so handy last week during the dinner at V&A, when I almost froze to death in my slinky little gown. And while I have always wanted to be a girl in a tuxedo, there was always a problem finding the right fit and fabric. I have been looking for years and finally I have found it. This slightly oversized embroidered Stella McCartney number is a dream. Not quite ‘borrowed from the boys’, but close enough. Photographer: Kit Lee I’m wearing: Jacket by Stella McCartey, trousers D&G (similar by L.K. Bennett here), heels by Tom Ford, vintage crocodile wrap clutch (similar style here), all jewellery by Sybarite.
